Procurement Supervisor
Main Duties
-
- Supervise the procurement officers to supply aircraft materials/parts for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
- Provide the needed direction and oversight to the procurement team members to replenish, control, and maintain the stock levels to support the different business units
- Supervise the procurement of tooling and ground support equipment, and the coordination of their maintenance requirements with approved suppliers
- Expand the supplier’s network and monitor the supplier’s performance
- Review freight rates for air, courier, and land transport and seek means to reduce these costs
- Supervise the liaison process between the procurement team members and the materials coordination team
- Supervise Commercial Purchasing activities and initiatives
- Supervise the liaison process between the procurement team members and the warehouse to ensure timely receipt of the parts
- Periodically review team operating procedures to streamline and simplify them, enhancing overall efficiency, while tracking performance indicators and establishing new KPIs
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and customers to improve service levels and operational performance, identifying continuous improvement opportunities
Qualifications and Requirements

- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Purchasing, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering
- Solid experience in procurement and inventory management, ideally within an aircraft maintenance setting. Obtained or working towards CIPS/CSCP. PMP, Lean Six Sigma qualifications are a plus
- 5 years of solid working experience in logistics management/supply chain management, in the aviation industry
- Strong understanding of aircraft tools, parts and materials
- Strong understanding of procurement and inventory management principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical mindset and good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills
- Understanding of Part 145 quality standards and regulations
- Able to communicate in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is a plus)
