Planning Manager

Main Duties
- In-charge of both Line Maintenance Planning (Line Maintenance) and Technical Support Group (TSG);
- Oversee teams of TSG, LM Production against Technical Assistance Requests (TAR’s) and on all technical matters; such as drafting and creation of special work and task cards;
- Provide and prepare work plans for production and supporting section, evaluate workload against work force, compile workload/resources forecast, with optimization of resources utilization and turnaround times;
- Provide aircraft scheduling and man-hour standard and assist Commercial & Customer Support Department on customer technical liaison, and contract evaluation;
- Schedule aircraft input in a manner so that the hangar slot could be appropriately utilized;
- Liaise with Safety and Quality Assurance Department on day-to-day technical related matters affecting technical standards and production control procedures; comply with safety instructions and procedures of regulatory authorities requirements; assist in audit finding investigations;
- Coordinate Supply Chain Management Department on technical matters arising from tooling, equipment and material requests, orders and spare parts support;
- Participate in any other ad-hoc projects or customer meetings;

Other Duties
- Collect information and carry out planning and KPI meeting with customers;
- Attend project planning, pre-input and check progress meetings and as required;
- Support the control over the CASL MOE and EPM review and development;
- Provide strategic planning services to production department on aircraft projects;
- Review and upkeep of Maintenance Check and Tasks standards for planning and budgeting;
- Review annual budget standard for all maintenance program to update and establish man-hour and standard for all maintenance inputs;
- Carry out investigations and report discrepancies in estimates, individual input results, billing inquiries;
- Report on all work progress of aircraft at a daily progress meeting; Supervise team of planner to process maintenance records and data entry properly and accurately, and generate reports for analysis;
- Participate in production planning and control system development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree or above in Engineering or related discipline;
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance industry in which 3 years in management position;
- Holder of valid HKAR-66 B1 / B2 or ICAO Type II License, with type rating is of definite advantage;
- Exposure in Technical Services or Planning and Production Control is a merit;
- Good spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
- Sound experiences in technical know-how, staff management and project management;
- Strong communication, interpersonal and PC skills;
