Hangar Structure Roof - Uplifting Operation
The date of 01 November 2008 marks an important milestone in
CASL’s hangar construction project.At 0900PM, CASL's management
team officiated the commencement of the "Hangar Structure Roof -
Uplifting Operation" and this critical process of lifting the
1000 plus tones of roof structure to about 23 meters in height
has successfully completed after 12 hours of hard work. It
labels CASL’s hangar construction has entering into its last
phrase of construction.

Mr. Leung Ka Ming from CASL was
completed the JAA Airworthiness Course taking place in United
Kingdom in October 2008.

Innovation Award to Ms Mei Ling Chan.

Left: Ms Mei Ling Chan
During daily work process of cabin cleaning service, Ms. Mei
Ling of CS Department is required to remove stickers that hard
to be removed from the interior sidewall of the aircraft, she
asked her husband to invent a small handy tool which could help
her to remove sticker easily from aircraft interior side wall.
After many trial operations, this handy tool demonstrates very
effective and has no damaged effect to the cabin interior
surface. In order to praise her thoughtful and enthusiastic to
work, the company awards HK$3000 dollars to her as a gesture to
appreciate her contribution by CEO, Dr. Angus Cheung.

Chinese Olympic
Gold Medal Flight Handled by CASL
On 29th of August, CASL is honor to be chosen to provide line
maintenance handling service for the special charter VVIP flight
by Air China carrying a full team of Olympic 2008 mainland gold
medalists to visit Hong Kong. The painted B737 aircraft with
Olympic Fuwa landed at 10:40AM and was assigned to berth at
outer parking Bay-144. All people on the apron were trying hard
to meet the Gold Medalists face to face. After the opening of
the cabin door, all focus was concentrated on the Diving Queen
Guo Jingjing and table tennis gold medalists Zhang Yiling.

Pratt and Whitney Line Maintenance Support Agreement
CASL is proud to be selected by world’s leading aircraft engine
manufacturer Pratt & Whitney as one of its service partners in
the Asia Pacific Region. An agreement was signed on July 2008 to
enable CASL to start the process of providing technical services
on behalf of P&W to its customers.

Aircraft Maintenance Professional Training Program
CASL‘s 2-year Aircraft
Maintenance Professional Training Program was launched in 2006.
It aimed at developing and training young people with Higher
Diploma or above qualifications to become aircraft maintenance
professionals possessing CASL’s own values. 13 trainees have
already completed the training program in CASL in the last 2
years. Moreover they will have opportunity won scholarship and
training at overseas maintenance organization.
International Federation of
Airworthiness (IFA) is a Non Governmental Organisation
dedicated to improving aviation safety by increasing
international communication, awareness and cooperation on all
airworthiness issues and particularly that of continuing
airworthiness.
Every year, the IFA Scholarship
provides sufficient funds for the winner to attend a training
course cover airworthiness issues. Mr. Leung Ka Ming one of
outstanding staff from CASL was won this scholarship and he will
attend the JAA Airworthiness Course taking place in United
Kingdom in October 2008.

CASL Annual Staff Party 2008
CASL organized its "Annual Staff Party" on 27 June 2008 at Regal
Airport Hotel. More than 500 staffs and guests had participated
in the party.
Six nominees, from different
departments, have received the "Outstanding Staff Award" from
our Chief Executive Officer this year. This is to recognize the

The Olympic Torch relay flight
The
Olympic Torch relay flight arrived on April 30 in Hong Kong ?
the first stop back in China after its global journey through
about 20 cities on five continents. The charter flight carrying
the Olympic flame arrived in Hong Kong at 1.53pm from Vietnam's
Ho Chi Minh City. The Executive Vice-President of Beijing
Organising Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG),
Mr Yang Shuan held the tinder lamp when disembarking from the
plane. The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, the
President of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong
Kong, China, Mr Timothy Fok, the Director of the Liaison Office
of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special
Administrative Region, Mr Gao Siren, and the Director of Leisure
and Cultural Services, Mr Thomas Chow, welcomed the arrival of
the Olympic flame on the apron. CASL is honoured to provide full
service to this special flight, including technical service,
ground support equipment and cabin services.

Customer Commendation
- British Airways
BA
presented a commendation to a CASL staff in recognition of
his honesty and professionalism. We would like to share this
case with you and this would set as a model for all of us.

CASL received a complimentary letter from two BA passengers who
took BA Flight 27 to HKG on 20 December 2007. The passengers
thanked for Mr. Lo Tung Wai’s help and honesty to return the
Burberry carrier bag which was left inside the overhead bin of
their seats. There were two new gift-wrapped presents inside the
bag.
On 13 March 2008, BA presented an appreciation card to Mr. Lo
Tung Wai in recognition of his honesty and dedication. CASL is
delighted that the professional attitude and performance of our
employee are well recognized by our customer. In the meantime,
it proves that our "Lost and Found" system has provided a
value-added service to our airlines customers and their
passengers as well which makes the flying experience an even
more enjoyable one.

CASL Spring Dinner Party
2008
CASL had organised a Spring Dinner party on 29 February 2008.
With over 400 participants including honorable guests and CASL’s
staff joined.
The party was arranged at the Palace Restaurant with delicious
Chinese fine food and a live band show. Participants enjoyed the
nice food and dance with the joyful music. After the dinner,
lucky draw was followed and brought excitement to the party. All
participants had a happy and unforgettable night.

JAL Charity Junket Flight 2007
CASL has the

by Japan Airlines on 4 November 2007. 191 children were on board to enjoy
the flying experience.

professionalism and positive response which eliminated a possible occurrence

Asian Aerospace 2007 Expo and
Congress
Asian
Aerospace 2007 Expo and Congress held at AsiaWorld-Expo, four-day event has
attracted more than 500 exhibiting companies and over 11,000 trade visitors
from 69 countries, including strong representation by professionals from
China and Asia Pacific countries, and also over 500 accredited media
representatives covering the latest products and services in the commercial
aviation and aerospace sector. CASL is honored to be one of the exhibitors
in this great event.

Asian Aerospace 2007
CASL will
participate in the Asian Aerospace 2007, one of Asia’s most prestigious
aerospace events, from 3 to 6 September. As a first-time participant, CASL
will exhibit its latest developments in the show.
Being the centerpiece of the
company’s booth (9E11), CASL’s hangar model was made on a scale of 1:200 for
the exhibition. In actual size, CASL’s aircraft maintenance hangar occupying
an area of 10,000 square metres will be completed by the end of the 2008.
Being capable of housing one wide-body and one narrow-body aircraft at the
same time, the hangar will enable the company to enter the aircraft base
maintenance business.

Airlines awarded CASL "Safety Recognition Award" on 16 August 2007 in
recognizing the outstanding safety performance achieved in year 2006.

Flight to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the
establishment of the HKSAR. CASL is honored to provide

CASL Annual Dinner 2007
CASL Annual Dinner 2007
was held on 22 June 2007 at the Regal Airport Hotel with
over 550 honorable guests and staff attended. We are
very delighted to invite more than a hundred guests from
our airline customers and authorities to celebrate this
significant event.
During the dinner, Mr Sun Yu De, our new chairman, gave
a speech and introduced CASL’s latest development.
5 staff received “Outstanding Staff Award"
from Mr.
Angus Cheung, our CEO in recognition of their
outstanding performance, excellence in customer service
and contributions to the company.
Apart from the delicious banquet and live band
performance, guests and staff were invited to come up on
stage and participated in some exciting games followed
by lucky draw, which was the highlight of the evening..

Wage Protection
Movement (WPM)
Labour Department
awarded CASL a commendation for participating in the
“Wage Protection Movement" which aims to extend the
protection to employees' benefits. The government
introduced the WPM to encourage employers to enter into
written employment contracts with their cleaning workers
and security guards, and to offer these workers wages
not lower than the average market wage rates.
CASL is among 916 organizations which join hands with
the government to launch the WPM (as at 30 April 2007).
CASL is committed to continuous community caring.

Kong by China Southern special flight
A pair of giant pandas
given by Beijing as a gift to mark the 10th anniversary
of Hong Kong's return to the mainland, was delivered
from Chengdu to Hong Kong on 26th April 2007 by a CZ
chartered freighter (B744F). CASL is honored to provide
services to this special flight, including technical
service and ground support equipment services.

Lufthansa German
Airlines (LH) A380 Route Proving Flight
Airbus and Lufthansa
German Airlines flew an A380 (MSN007) to Hong Kong from
Frankfurt on 24th March as part of its global airport
trial. CASL is honoured to provide services to this
special flight, including technical assistance, ground
services equipment and cabin services. After finished
all the tests and publicity campaign, the superjumbo
returned to Frankfurt on 25th March.
